In short: this site is run personally by Dr. Ganesh Valiachi. Data is stored on a private server in Bengaluru, India. Nothing is sold, shared with advertisers, or passed to third-party trackers. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no cookie-based profiling.
1. Who is responsible
This website and the trade simulations hosted at simulations.drvaliachi.com are operated by Dr. Ganesh Valiachi, Pune, Maharashtra, India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, he is the Data Fiduciary. Contact: ganeshvaliachi@gmail.com.
2. What is collected, and why

Passwords are never stored in readable form. They are hashed using scrypt with a unique random salt, meaning neither I nor anyone with access to the database can read them.
3. What is not done
- Your data is never sold, rented, or shared for marketing.
- No third-party analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking scripts run on this site.
- No automated decision-making or profiling affects you.
- Simulation scores are not reported to your institution unless you are participating in a course where this has been agreed with you in advance.
4. How long it is kept
- Accounts and scores: kept while the account is active, and deleted on request.
- CV requests: kept up to 24 months.
- Visit statistics: kept up to 24 months, then aggregated or deleted.
5. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act 2023 you may ask to access the data held about you, correct it, withdraw consent, or have it deleted. Write to ganeshvaliachi@gmail.com and I will respond within a reasonable period. You may also nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf, and you may raise a grievance with the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with my response.
6. Children
These simulations are designed for postgraduate and professional learners. Accounts are not knowingly created for anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, write to me and the account will be removed.
7. Security
All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. Administrative access requires a password and is rate-limited against repeated login attempts. Data is stored on a server under my sole control, with restricted network access. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach occurs that affects you, I will inform you and the relevant authority.
8. Cookies
Only two things are stored in your browser: a login session cookie when you are signed in to a simulation, and a random visit identifier used to count returning visits. Neither is used for advertising. Clearing your browser data removes both.
9. Changes
If this notice changes materially, the date at the top will be updated.
